MEDITATION (poem)

i'm more worried
about where
the war machines
in the sky
are going
from here

one breath in
one breath out

the lotus in the pond
& the AK-47 in the closet

one breath in
one breath out

it is said that finch
would rather die
than stop singing
the lands to which
she belongs
